Anna Khan is the new GIS summer intern for Buffalo County; she is currently a fourth year Environmental Geography student at the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire.
She will be assisting the Land Records Coordinator in conducting address sign assessments for the process of replacing and updating address road signs of towns within Buffalo County. Throughout the summer, Anna will be physically inspecting current signs to establish an accurate inventory in advice of any future replacement project.

The GIS department manages and maintains all address assignments and road naming for unincorporated areas of Buffalo County. In addition to supporting the mapping needs of the E911 dispatch center, Emergency Management, Conservation, and Zoning offices, the GIS Department also provides mapping services to many other government and private agencies, as well as the general public.The geospatial data the department maintains and facilitates informed decision-making, long-range planning, development review, and permitting functions within the county.
